The relaunch of Technique x Bloomsbury Football Foundation

As the Summer 😎 is finally underway and with both the ⚽️ Euro 2024 ⚽️ and Paris 2024 Olympics just around the corner, we wanted to bring the attention back to one of the partnerships, we at Technique are most excited about for so many reasons.

For the past 4 years, Technique Health & Fitness has been providing physiotherapy services to the Bloomsbury Football Foundation’s Academy players, and as both organisations grow; together we are planning to expand upon this fantastic partnership with new initiatives to support Bloomsbury’s members and their families across London.

It is a partnership of great value to both organisations:

'We are extremely proud to work alongside Bloomsbury and help them with their mission. We believe in the transformative power of sports to inspire and uplift young lives. Helping Bloomsbury allows us to provide kids, their families and the amazing staff with the support they need to make sure they are healthy, active and playing football with a smile on their face’.

Justas, Technique Health & Fitness x Bloomsbury Clinical Lead

"I am delighted that Bloomsbury Football are partnered with Technique Health, (who support) our mission to remove the barriers to participation, as we work towards our five year plan of delivering football to 20,000 young people per week. Our young people have benefitted from their physio service for the past three years, providing for our injured players and supporting their return to the pitch. We are excited to build on the current partnership when the new season kicks off in September!"

Mike Aunger, Technique Founder

These shared values are exactly why the new Technique Managing Partner, Betina decided to take the leap to embark upon this entirely new adventure with Mike and Technique Health & Fitness after spending her entire career to date ‘at the sharp end of investment management’, and when she was recently introduced to Josh, Club Football Manager at Bloomsbury, she was beyond excited: “…this truly is the stuff of magic and unicorns and butterflies 🪄🦄🦋“

Bloomsbury Football was founded in 2018 with the goal of supporting young people to overcome the challenges they are facing today using the power of football. In London, young people are facing the reality of rising levels of social isolation, mental illness and physical inactivity, all of which were exacerbated by a pandemic. All the charity’s football sessions are based on a curriculum centred around social and emotional learning (SEL) skills that improve the mental & physical health of players, teaching them life skills and building stronger communities. Since its establishment in 2018, the charity has been recognised by the London Football Awards, the Sports Business Awards and works with FIFA, Nike and LALIGA.

Check out Bloomsbury Football Foundation's website for more details of the amazing work these guys do and to discover how you, your friends and family or your organisation can get involved with or support them.
